HOMZ Initial Consultation

Stage 1: Initial Consultation

The initial phase of our process involves gaining a thorough understanding of your objectives for your home renovation, including the underlying motivations driving your desire for change. At HOMZ Transformation, our approach is centred around attentive listening and thoughtful inquiry to ensure a clear grasp of your vision, priorities, and aspirations.
As specialists in design and build renovations, our role is to collaborate with you closely,
aiming to craft and deliver the most optimal renovation within your specified budget.

Throughout the design and build journey, we recognize the equal significance of both your budget constraints and your desired renovation outcomes.
This process serves as an opportunity for you to evaluate whether our team is the right fit foryour project, and likewise, for us to assess our potential to bring value to your endeavor.

HOMZ Preliminary Design

Stage 2: Preliminary Design

The Preliminary Design Stage comprises two key steps: Preliminary Sketch Plan and Development Assessment if required.


Preliminary Sketch Plan
During the Preliminary Design phase, we translate your briefings into conceptual ideas, incorporating professional insights on their feasibility. Our objective at the conclusion of this stage is to present you with a range of feasible concepts that align with your preferences. Once finalized, we
enlist the expertise of a cost estimator to provide a realistic projection of the associated costs for these designs.

HOMZ Final Design

Stage 3: Final Design

Following the approval of the preliminary sketch plans, the next step involves developing detailed final designs that are informed by these initial concepts. At this stage, numerous budget decisions will have already been finalized. Our attention will be dedicated to drafting construction details solely for the portions of the project you have chosen to proceed with. At the outset of this phase, we will facilitate a professionally guided shopping experience with our trade suppliers, such as Harvey Normal Commercial, Reece Bathrooms, Beaumont Tiles, etc, to ensure that all items you have selected are accurately documented in the detailed drawings and products schedule.

Development Assessment (if required).A Development Assessment will be conducted during this preliminary design stage if necessary. This step ensures that you understand the requirements for obtaining Development Approval (DA) for your project at an early stage. By providing you with this information upfront, you will be better equipped to make informed decisions regarding your renovation project.

Throughout this phase, HOMZ Transformation assumes full accountability for acquiring all necessary building and resource consents. Given the complexity often associated with this procedure, it is crucial for effective time and cost management that such responsibilities are entrusted to seasoned experts.

Upon completion of the detailed design process, we will be in a position to offer a fixed price for the construction phase.

HOMZ Construction

Stage 4: Construction

Throughout the construction phase, your designated HOMZ Project Manager will remain your sole point of contact. We meticulously schedule all trades to maintain seamless progress throughout the project. Your Project Manager will oversee quality control at every stage, providing regular progress updates and transparently coordinating any variations with you. You can confidently leave the work in our hands, even taking a holiday while your home transformation is underway.

HOMZ Handover

Stage 5: Handover

Upon achieving practical completion, we will guide you through a comprehensive walk-through of the project, proudly presenting the final outcome and addressing any defects that may require attention. Our team will meticulously handle all required Council documentation and furnish you with the necessary Code of Compliance documentation, ensuring your peace of mind. Finally, we will joyfully hand over your beautifully transformed home to you.

Six months following practical completion, we will finalize the project entirely, issuing a final completion certificate to formally conclude the process.
